A Palestinian man was killed and several others injured on Tuesday evening after an Israeli airstrike targeted a home in the town of Al-Zawayda in central Gaza Strip, according to local sources.
The victim was identified as Ezzedine Rajeh al-Talbani, who was killed when Israeli warplanes struck a house belonging to the Talbani family in the area.
Earlier Tuesday, the Israeli occupation warplanes carried out airstrikes and artillery shelling across several parts of the Gaza Strip. The attacks were concentrated in the eastern outskirts of the Zeitoun neighborhood and Shuja’iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City, as well as areas in central Gaza.
Israeli warplanes also launched an airstrike southwest of Gaza City, although no further details were immediately available about casualties or damage.
Local sources said at least one airstrike hit the targeted areas while Israeli artillery shelled eastern districts of the city intensively.
Meanwhile, Israeli naval vessels opened fire off the coast of Gaza City, coinciding with gunfire from Israeli military vehicles south of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
In a separate incident, Israeli warplanes targeted an uninhabited house north of Street Five in Khan Younis.
The attacks come amid continued Israeli violations of a ceasefire agreement that has been in effect since October 10, 2025, with repeated shelling and gunfire reported in various parts of the Gaza Strip.
On Monday, an Israeli strike on tents sheltering displaced families in central Gaza killed three Palestinians, including two young girls, and injured several civilians.
The attack targeted tents for displaced people in the Al-Sawarha area west of Al-Zawayda and killed Palestinian journalist Amal Al-Shamali, 46.
According to the Gaza Government Media Office, the number of journalists killed since the outbreak of the war has risen to 260.
The office added that Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement since it took effect have resulted in the killing of 648 Palestinians and the injury of 1,728 others.
