DayofPal– Israeli army strikes across the Gaza Strip on Sunday resulted in the killing of at least four Gazans, including a 14-year-old boy, and left six others injured, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.
The attacks are part of an ongoing pattern of ceasefire violations committed by Israel since the agreement took effect on January 19.
A drone strike in Beit Hanoun, located in northern Gaza, killed two Palestinian brothers, while another attack in Rafah, in the southern region, claimed the life of a woman after she was struck by shrapnel from an Israeli sound grenade.
Local sources identified that the martyrs are: Mahmoud Medhat Abu Harb from Rafah, Huthaifa and Mohammed Al-Masri from Beit Hanoun, and Wafaa Fathi Fseifes from Khan Younis.
Civil defense teams also reported injuries and fires in an apartment in Tel Sultan neighborhood following Israeli airstrikes.
Since the ceasefire began, Israeli attacks have killed at least 116 Palestinians and injured more than 490, the Health Ministry reported. The overall death toll from Israel’s military offensive in Gaza has now surpassed 48,388, with over 111,803 injured.
Many victims remain trapped under rubble due to Israeli-imposed restrictions preventing rescue operations.
Alongside military operations, Israel has imposed a total blockade on aid deliveries to Gaza, a move that coincides with the start of the holy month of Ramadan. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office confirmed on Sunday that all humanitarian goods and supplies had been halted.
This decision follows Hamas’ rejection of a ceasefire extension that Israel claims was proposed by U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff.
The proposal reportedly called for the phased release of all remaining captives in Gaza, with a second phase requiring negotiations for a permanent ceasefire.
Netanyahu’s office issued a statement warning of further consequences if Hamas does not comply. “Israel will not allow a ceasefire without the release of our hostages. If Hamas continues its refusal, there will be further consequences,” the statement read.
Hamas, however, accused Israel of reneging on the agreement and using the aid blockade as a form of blackmail. In a statement, it condemned the decision as a “war crime” and urged international mediators to pressure Israel into lifting the blockade.
According to Gaza’s Government Media Office, Israel has committed approximately 962 ceasefire violations since the agreement was enacted, leading to over 100 Palestinian deaths and nearly 500 injuries. The blockade on humanitarian aid has further deepened the humanitarian crisis in the enclave.
