DaysofPal — The Israeli government has decided to freeze its relations with the office of United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres following the inclusion of several Israeli entities on a UN blacklist related to sexual violence in conflict zones.
The UN decision comes amid reports issued by the United Nations and international human rights organizations documenting cases of rape, harassment, and sexual violence against Palestinian detainees as well as Foreign Activists in Israeli prisons and detention facilities, particularly at the Sde Teiman detention camp.
Sources indicated that Israeli occupation claimed that blacklisting “Israel” is politically motivated, although it’s built upon reports UN human rights organizations.
Earlier on Thursday, the United Nations officially added Israeli occupation to its blacklist of parties that commit acts of sexual violence in conflict zones worldwide.
