In the early hours of Friday morning, Israeli forces launched a deadly airstrike on a residential home in Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, killing seven members of a single Palestinian family, including women and elderly individuals.
The attack targeted the home of the Abu Zeina family near Martyrs’ Roundabout in the densely populated camp. Among the victims were Khalil Abu Zeina (Abu Hussam), his wife Na’ma Abu Zeina, Ahmad Abu Zeina, Islam Dahbash (the wife of Hussam Abu Zeina), and Hajja Huda Fayid (Umm Fayez).
The brutal strike, part of Israel’s renewed military campaign on Gaza, brings the number of Palestinian civilians killed in Israeli attacks since dawn today to ten.
This latest massacre is part of what rights groups and local journalists are calling a relentless genocide against Gaza’s 2.3 million residents.
For the 46th consecutive day since the resumption of Israeli bombardments, the population faces indiscriminate bombings, mass displacement, and widespread starvation, all amid catastrophic living conditions for displaced families across the Strip.
Israel’s campaign has left entire neighborhoods in ruins, families decimated, and vital infrastructure destroyed. The massacre in Al-Bureij is a grim reminder that no home, no family, and no place in Gaza is safe.
