The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) ordered Monday, December 5, 2022 a halt on the construction of a three-stores building at the entrance of Beit Rima town, northwest of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah.
Israeli occupation forces invaded the town and handed Yusef Rimawi a notice, ordering him to stop the construction of the three-stores building purportedly for being located in Area C.
Israel refuses to permit any Palestinian construction in Area C, which constitutes 60 percent of the occupied West Bank and falls under full Israeli military rule, forcing Palestinian residents to build without obtaining rarely-granted permits to provide shelters for their families.
In contrast, Israel much more easily gives over 800,000 Jewish Israeli settlers building permits and provides them with roads, electricity, water and sewage systems that remain inaccessible to many neighboring Palestinians.
