Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) notified Thursday, June 8, 2023, to stop construction on Palestinian-owned residential facilities in Al-Burj area, in the northern Jordan Valley.
The head of the Bedouin Al-Maleh and Mudarib Council, Mahdi Daraghmeh, stated that the occupation forces had notified the stop of work in 5 Palestinian residential facilities, owned by: Radhi Khalil Zawahra, Khalil Radi Zawahra, and Muhammad Nayef Faqir, under the pretext of building without a permit.
Israeli occupation tries in various ways to forcibly displace Palestinians from their own lands and demolish their homes in favor of settlement expansion, using pretexts most notably building without a permit.
According to OCHA, Israeli occupation carries out the stop-construction and demolition orders under the pretext of lacking a building permit. The organization noted that “it is almost impossible for Palestinians to obtain such or that permit.”
