Israeli occupation forces IOF distributed on Monday morning, September 12, dozens of demolition warnings to several houses in the town of Al-Isawiya, northeast of occupied Jerusalem.
Palestinian activist at Issawiya Muhammad Abu al-Hummus reported that crews from the occupation municipality, accompanied by Israeli forces, broke into the town, and began taking photos of the town’s streets and several facilities and houses.
He explained that the municipality’s crews placed the administrative demolition orders on dozens of Palestinian houses, pointing out that some of the threatened houses were built several years ago.
In addition, Abu Al-Hummos pointed out that Israeli forces constantly attack Palestinians and their properties in Al-Issawyia as part of their collective punishment policy practiced against Jerusalem.
A week ago, the Israeli occupation municipality forced the Palestinian Ziyad Darwish to self-demolish his house in Al-Isawiya, under the pretext of building without a permit. Darwish explained that he started building the house two months ago, and it is still under construction.
The town of Al-Isawiya is continuously subjected to Israeli attacks as Israeli occupation forces routinely carry out night raids, arrests, and demolitions.
