DaysofPal- Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) began a large-scale military offensive across the West Bank city of Tubas in the northern West Bank early Wednesday, deploying significant reinforcements to the towns of Tammun, Tubas, Tayasir, and Aqaba.
The Israeli operation, described by Israeli officials as a wide-ranging campaign, involved heavy incursions, house raids, and the forced evacuation of Palestinian families, with some homes converted into makeshift military outposts.
Local sources reported that Israeli troops closed roads in Aqaba with earth mounds as part of the offensive.
Residents also witnessed intense helicopter activity, with Apache gunships strafing the mountain areas and reportedly opening fire in the skies above Tubas.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces continued house raids in the town of Talouza and established a new military checkpoint on the al-Badhan road near Nablus, further tightening restrictions on movement in the region.
In response to the ongoing operation, authorities in the Tubas governorate announced a suspension of work in all government and private institutions for Wednesday and shifted schools to remote learning as the situation remained volatile.
The Israeli offensive marks a significant escalation in northern West Bank military activity, with residents enduring heightened insecurity and disruptions to daily life.
