Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) launched Thursday dawn, January 26, 2023 a large-scale detention campaign in different seperate areas targeting Palestinian freed prisoners in the occupied West Bank.
In Ramallah, IOF detained the Palestinian freed prisoners, Ahmed Khalil Abu Latifa, from Al-Sharayet neighborhood in Al-Bireh, after storming a commercial store in the city and Salah Berghal, from his family’s home in the Al-Amari refugee camp, southwest of the city. It is noteworthy that the prisoner “Berghal” had previously spent 9 years in the occupation prisons, and was released about two years ago.
In Bethlehem, IOF detained the young Palestinian man, Issa Al-Moati, after storming the Dheisheh refugee camp, south of Bethlehem, while in Tubas, the occupation forces arrested a high school student, Ahmed Muhammad Bisharat, from the town of Tamoun, after raiding and searching his family’s house and tampering with its contents.
In Jenin, IOF detained two Palestinian youths, Hamza Nabil and Alaa Bazour, after their homes in Raba village, east of Jenin, were raided and searched.
Clashes broke out in the town between the young Palestinian men and the occupation forces who stormed the towns, fired poisoned gas and live bullets.
