DaysofPal- A father was killed, and his young daughter was injured in an Israeli drone strike on the city of Khan Younis on Saturday, amid continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire across the Gaza Strip.
Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) have continued violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, which came into effect on October 10 last year, according to local reports.
Early Saturday, Israeli artillery shelled eastern areas of Khan Younis in the southern part of the enclave with several rounds, where at the same time, Israeli naval vessels fired multiple shells toward the sea off Gaza City.
Moreover, Israeli tanks also opened fire toward areas northeast of the Al-Bureij Refugee Camp in central Gaza, while artillery bombardment targeted eastern neighborhoods of Gaza City.
According to figures released by Gaza’s health authorities, the total number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire was announced has risen to 636, with 1,704 others wounded with varying degrees of injuries.
Medical teams have also recovered 753 bodies from different areas of the territory.
The health ministry reported that the cumulative death toll from Israel’s war on Gaza has reached 72,120 Palestinians killed and 171,802 injured since October 7, 2023.
The ongoing Israeli violations highlight the fragile nature of the ceasefire and continuing tensions in the Palestinian enclave.
