July 17, 2023: Palestinian farmers pick grapes from their fields during the harvest season in Gaza City.
Grapes are among the widely grown fruits in Gaza. Their Harvest starts in May and ends in September.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Agriculture, Adham Al-Basiouni, clarified that the total cultivated area for the seedless grape variety is approximately 6,000 dunums.
Al-Basiouni added that the production of the current season is expected to be lower than the previous one due to weather fluctuations and may reach around 4,000 tons.
