DaysofPal- The Hind Rajab Foundation, a human rights organization based in Brussels, has submitted a criminal complaint to authorities in New York against an Israeli criminal soldier currently in the United States, accusing him of committing war crimes and publicly inciting genocide during the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the foundation said it has intensified its legal efforts against Guy Hochman, alleging that he took part in grave violations of international law while serving in Gaza.
The group said it formally requested his prosecution in the United States, backed by an expanded body of evidence detailing alleged war crimes and explicit incitement to genocide.
The foundation said Hochman was detained and questioned for around six hours on Monday at Toronto Pearson International Airport after a complaint and investigative file were submitted to Canadian authorities.
According to the organization, he was released only following intervention by the Israeli embassy, a move it said highlights the level of pressure exerted to prevent accountability.
The group noted that Hochman was due to perform a comedy show in New York on Tuesday evening.
As part of its announcement, the Hind Rajab Foundation released video footage that it says shows Hochman placing explosives inside a mosque in Rafah, in southern Gaza, shortly before the building was destroyed.
The organization said the material also includes statements he allegedly made while in Gaza during his work with the Israeli forces’ spokesperson unit, as well as comments from public performances and live online broadcasts.
According to the foundation, these statements include calls for mass murder and the annihilation of Palestinians, support for the use of nuclear weapons against Gaza, expressions of approval over civilian deaths, and advocacy for starvation, forced displacement, and collective punishment.
The group added that the remarks employ religious language that it says promotes genocide.
Established in February 2024 and headquartered in Brussels, the Hind Rajab Foundation has in recent months become one of the most visible European human rights organizations pursuing legal action against Israelis accused of war crimes against Palestinians.
