Hamas spokesman Muhammad Hamadeh has released a statement condemning the Israeli occupation’s violations of Al-Aqsa Mosque, stating that the occupation has crossed the red lines and is “tampering with detonators.”
Hamadeh asserted that the Palestinian people have the capacity to repel the Israeli occupation if they overstep their boundaries.
He said that the Israeli occupation holds complete accountability for permitting settlers to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque and defile its sacredness.
On Tuesday night, Israeli occupation forces stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque in an attempt to evacuate Palestinian worshipers, preventing them from praying inside.
Since Ramadan began, Israeli forces have been raiding Al-Aqsa Mosque each night after the Al-Tarawih prayer with the purpose of intimidating Palestinians and stirring up religious conflict in the region.
The Union of Temple Mount Groups urged Israeli settlers to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque during the Jewish Passover, starting tomorrow, and to perform animal sacrifices in its grounds.
Palestinians in Jerusalem, which is under Israeli occupation, are urging people to gather at Al-Aqsa Mosque in order to oppose Israeli incursions which have become more frequent during Ramadan.
