DaysfoPal- The Hamas Movement has stated that recent comments made by the Israeli war Minister “Yisrael Katz” about the military campaign in Gaza City represent a blatant acknowledgment of the Israeli crimes that constitute ethnic cleansing and the forced displacement of nearly one million people in Gaza City.
The Israeli war minister Katz stated that the Israeli military operation is not merely a conventional “military attack,” but aims to forcibly empty the city of its residents, meaning that the primary objective is the forced displacement of the civilian population.
Hamas, in a press release on Friday evening, said that Gaza City has faced days of relentless destruction and brutal massacres targeting civilians, driven by intense Israeli airstrikes and artillery attacks on residential areas.
Hamas emphasized the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, citing the blockade, the use of starvation as a method of warfare, and deliberate attacks on healthcare, humanitarian facilities, and critical infrastructure by Israeli forces.
Moreover, Hamas condemned the international community’s silence in response to open and publicly admitted war crimes and acts of genocide.
It criticized the failure of global legal and moral systems to prevent or hold accountable those responsible for these violations.
Hamas urged the international community to strengthen its support for the people of Gaza and to step up efforts to end the ongoing Israeli aggression, genocide, and forced displacement, which has continued for more than 22 months.
