Hamas denies its leaders leaving Qatar for Turkey
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

DaysofPal- The Hamas Movement has strongly rejected as “false and unsubstantiated” reports that the Gaza-based organization has moved its political bureau from Qatar to Turkey.

Sources close to Hamas said on Tuesday that such claims are “wild rumors that the occupying regime tends to spread from time to time.”

In a previous statement, Hamas denied that “Qatar has requested or notified the Movement to leave Doha,” claiming that “these news reports have been published dozens of times over the past few months and have no basis in truth.”

Both Hamas and Qatar have refuted the recent falsehoods propagated by Hebrew media outlets that Doha asked Hamas leadership to leave the country because of its position on ceasefire talks.

Earlier this month, Qatar announced the suspension of its mediation efforts between Israel and Hamas concerning a potential Gaza ceasefire, but denied reports of Hamas’s expulsion from Doha.

Qatar has hosted Hamas since 2012 and has acted as a mediator between the movement and Israel since October 2023.
