DaysofPal- Hamas condemned the Israeli massacre against the Palestinian family of Alkhatib on Thursday, in bombing their home in Deir al-Balah, noting that this crime highlights Netanyahu’s disregard for the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement released Thursday evening, the Palestinian group said Israeli occupation forces carried out a deadly attack on the home of the al-Houli family in central Gaza, killing several people and injuring others.
Hamas described the strike as part of a broader pattern of continued Israeli military operations across the enclave that amount to a serious and open breach of the ceasefire.
Hamas noted that the Israeli occupation is deliberately undermining the truce through repeated violations aimed at collapsing the agreement and clearing the way for renewed large-scale military operations in Gaza.
According to Hamas, the Deir al-Balah strike and similar attacks demonstrate Netanyahu’s disregard for the ceasefire deal, which was brokered with U.S. involvement and backed by international mediators.
The movement called on mediators to take urgent action to stop the violations and ensure Israel fully complies with all provisions of the agreement, including moving forward to its second phase.
Hamas also urged international actors to publicly condemn the airstrikes and pressure Israel to halt military operations that it said are obstructing implementation of the deal.
Earlier Thursday, Israeli warplanes struck two houses in Deir al-Balah, killing at least six Palestinians and wounding several others, according to medical sources.
Local officials said four of those killed died when an airstrike hit the al-Houli family home on Market Street in the Deir al-Balah refugee camp.
Family members later confirmed that Mohammed al-Houli, identified as a commander in Hamas’s armed wing, the Qassam Brigades, was killed in the strike along with his wife and daughter.
Palestinian officials say Israeli forces have continued to violate the ceasefire since it took effect on October 10.
Gaza’s Government Media Office has accused Israel of committing systematic breaches of the agreement, describing the actions as violations of international humanitarian law and the humanitarian protocol attached to the truce.
The office said it has documented 1,244 violations, including hundreds of incidents involving gunfire at civilians, military incursions into residential areas, bombardment of civilian homes, and the destruction of public and private buildings.
According to the statement, the violations have resulted in 449 deaths, more than 1,200 injuries, and dozens of arrests since the ceasefire began.
