DaysofPal- The Hamas Movement has accused the Israeli government of deliberately violating the ceasefire agreement by blocking the entry of essential supplies into the Gaza Strip, and it is based on the positions of the new US administration and its plans to displace Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.

In a statement issued Sunday, Hamas spokesman Hazem Qasem condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for refusing to allow the entry of mobile homes and heavy machinery needed for rubble removal, calling it a direct breach of the ceasefire terms.

Qasem asserted that Netanyahu’s reversal on his commitments under the agreement aligns with the position of US President Donald Trump regarding Gaza. He criticized Washington’s shift in stance, emphasizing that the ceasefire’s three-phase framework was initially brokered under former President Joe Biden’s administration.

“It is unreasonable to talk about changing or modifying it as long as things are proceeding according to the agreement,” Qasem stated.

He further urged Trump to translate his focus on securing the release of Israeli captives into tangible pressure on Israel to uphold its obligations. “Trump’s keenness on having Israeli captives released from the Gaza Strip must be translated into pressuring the occupation and obligating it to honor the agreement instead of making threats and seeking to change it,” he said.

Netanyahu reaffirmed Trump’s recent threat that “the gates of hell would open” if Hamas does not free the remaining hostages in Gaza after he meets with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Sunday.
Despite ongoing security consultations, Netanyahu did not approve the entry of mobile homes or heavy equipment into Gaza on Saturday night, further defying the terms of the ceasefire agreement with Hamas.

Israel’s 15-month-long war has left 70 percent of Gaza’s buildings in ruins, leaving most families without shelter.

Despite this devastation, Israel continues to block the entry of shelters into the enclave, violating a key condition of the ceasefire agreement. Tens of thousands of mobile homes, promised as part of the deal, remain stuck at the Rafah crossing with Egypt, awaiting Israeli approval to enter.

According to the ceasefire terms, Israel had committed to allowing 60,000 mobile homes and 200,000 tents into Gaza. However, only 20,000 tents have been permitted entry so far, while none of the mobile homes have been delivered.
