DaysofPal – The Global Movement for Gaza has entered a new phase of international popular escalation, launching three consecutive days of coordinated actions on Friday, February 6, Saturday, February 7, and Sunday, February 8, 2026. The mobilization has drawn broad participation from activists and supporters across the world, seeking to break international silence and amplify Gaza’s voice in the face of ongoing attacks and violations.
The renewed global actions come alongside growing public anger over Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement, continued military attacks on civilians in the Gaza Strip, and ongoing assaults in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem. The situation has been compounded by systematic abuses against Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli detention facilities.
In this context, the Palestinian Scholars Authority called on Arab and Islamic communities, along with free people worldwide, to designate Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays each week as permanent days of global popular action. The aim is to sustain public, legal, and media pressure on Israel and to firmly entrench the Gaza issue in global public consciousness.
Campaign activities have included solidarity marches, sit-ins outside embassies and diplomatic missions, and public gatherings in major squares and streets. Participants raised Palestinian flags and chanted pro-Gaza slogans, while coordinated strikes and protest actions were carried out in several countries as part of a unified popular pressure campaign targeting the Israeli government.
Street mobilization has been reinforced by widespread calls on social media platforms urging participation and mass turnout. Activists stressed that joining the protests represents a moral and humanitarian stance against the crimes committed in Gaza.
Activist Moatasem Zaqqut described the movement as “a moral duty that cannot be postponed,” calling for breaking silence and active engagement in the streets.
Osman Al-Hafi highlighted the symbolism of the chosen days, saying that “Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are three days that could change the fate of a nation,” urging people to fill streets, squares, and consciences, and affirming that injustice cannot endure in the face of collective human outcry.
The Palestine Social page on the “X” platform stated that global protests for Gaza are driven not by slogans but by the understanding that silence has become complicity. It described the situation in Gaza as an unmistakable crime and warned that ignoring public voices today will leave the world accountable tomorrow.
Activist Mohammed Al-Qassem emphasized that taking to the streets goes beyond symbolic solidarity, representing a clear moral rejection of ongoing crimes. He stressed that public pressure remains the most effective tool for breaking silence and forcing Gaza’s reality onto the global agenda.
Organizers said that both street-level and digital actions aim to increase international pressure to compel Israel to halt its attacks, adhere to the ceasefire agreement, reopen border crossings, allow the immediate entry of humanitarian aid, and begin reconstruction efforts.
They confirmed that activities will continue in the coming days, especially over weekends, as part of an expanding global movement seeking to widen international solidarity with Gaza and sustain popular pressure until attacks stop, the blockade is lifted, and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people are secured.
According to Gaza’s Government Media Office, Israeli forces have committed 1,520 violations of the ceasefire agreement since it took effect on October 10, 2025. Over a period of 115 days, these violations have resulted in the killing of 559 Palestinians and the injury of 1,500 others in systematic breaches of the agreement and international humanitarian law.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with US and European backing, has continued a campaign of genocide in Gaza, involving killing, starvation, destruction, displacement, and mass arrests, in open disregard of international appeals and orders issued by the International Court of Justice.
The genocide has left more than 239,000 Palestinians killed or injured, most of them women and children, alongside over 11,000 missing persons, hundreds of thousands displaced, widespread famine, and extensive destruction across most cities and areas of the Gaza Strip.
