DaysofPal- Tribal leaders, clans, and reconciliation committees in the Gaza Strip announced on Tuesday their rejection of a “paid and ostracized group” operating within militias linked to Israeli forces. They stressed that such activity is socially unacceptable and contradicts national and religious values.
In a press statement, the groups said the Palestinian cause is passing through one of its most difficult and dangerous phases, given the severe humanitarian conditions resulting from the war.
They emphasized that any form of cooperation with Israeli forces constitutes a breach of the social fabric.
The statement expressed appreciation for Palestinian families that have publicly disowned relatives involved in these groups and withdrawn tribal protection from them. It called for continuing this approach to confront the phenomenon.
The tribes also referred to a previous initiative aimed at resolving the status of individuals willing to renounce such involvement. According to the statement, several participants returned to their communities after surrendering themselves, settling their cases, and rejoining their families.
They urged others to take advantage of this initiative, warning that opportunities for reconciliation may not remain available in the future. The statement emphasized that returning to the right path is better than persisting in wrongdoing.
The tribes further declared their support for local security authorities in addressing the issue, praised their efforts despite difficult circumstances, and reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining public order and strengthening internal cohesion.
