DaysofPal-The Government Media Office in Gaza has released Press Statement No. 1039, revealing that the Israeli occupation has committed 1,193 violations of the ceasefire agreement over the past 90 days, resulting in the deaths of 484 civilians and injuries to 1,206 others. The statement accuses Israel of deliberately undermining the ceasefire and continuing its engineered policy of genocide against the population of Gaza.
Documented Violations
According to the statement, between 10 October 2025 and 9 January 2026, the following violations were recorded:
-
384 incidents of live gunfire against civilians.
-
66 military incursions into populated areas.
-
551 shelling attacks on civilians and residential buildings.
-
192 demolitions of homes, institutions, and civilian infrastructure.
-
50 cases of arbitrary arrest.
Humanitarian Conditions: Genocide by Deprivation
The statement highlights a growing humanitarian catastrophe, emphasizing that Israel has failed to honour its commitment to the agreed aid levels. Of the 54,000 aid trucks that were supposed to enter the Strip during this period, only 23,019 were allowed in, an average of just 255 trucks per day instead of the 600 agreed upon, marking a compliance rate of only 43%. The limited aid allowed in reportedly lacks nutritional value and excludes essential food items, contributing to engineered famine and deprivation.
Fuel deliveries have also been drastically restricted. Just 539 fuel trucks entered Gaza during the 90 days, compared to the 4,500 agreed, amounting to only 11% compliance. As a result, hospitals, bakeries, and water infrastructure have nearly collapsed, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.
Shelter Crisis Amidst Winter Cold
The media office warned of an unprecedented shelter emergency. The Israeli occupation has blocked the entry of mobile homes, tents, and basic shelter materials in violation of the ceasefire terms and international humanitarian law. With winter storms hitting the Gaza Strip, more than 50 homes and damaged buildings have collapsed, killing or injuring dozens who had taken refuge in unsafe structures. Over 127,000 tents are now unfit for use, leaving 1.5 million displaced people exposed to freezing conditions.
Call to Action
The Government Media Office holds Israel fully responsible for the ongoing humanitarian collapse and civilian deaths during the ceasefire period. It calls upon:
-
President Trump and other agreement sponsors,
-
International mediators and guarantors,
-
The international community and the United Nations,
to pressure Israel into full compliance with the ceasefire and humanitarian protocol, ensure the immediate and safe entry of humanitarian aid and fuel, and allow shelter materials to enter Gaza. The statement warns that failure to act enables a policy of enforced starvation, displacement, and death.
