DaysofPal- The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) have killed five Palestinian journalists since dawn today, Sunday, in Israeli airstrikes targeting various areas of the Gaza Strip.
This brings the total number of media professionals killed to 222 since the start of the extermination war on October 7, 2023.
Local media sources reported that journalist Abdul Rahman Tawfiq Al-Abadla was martyred in the town of Al-Qarara, east of Khan Yunis, after losing contact with him two days ago.
Meanwhile, journalist Ahmed Al-Zinati , his wife Nour Al-Madhoun , and their two children, Mohammed and Khaled , were martyred in an Israeli strike on their tent in the Sanabel camp near the Kuwaiti field hospital, west of Khan Yunis.
In another Israeli airstrike, photojournalist Aziz Al-Hajjar , his wife, and their children were martyred after their home was bombed in the Al-Suffa area, north of Gaza City.
In Deir Al-Balah, central Gaza, journalist Nour Qandeel was martyred in an Israeli strike on her home, which also claimed the lives of her daughter and husband, journalist Khaled Abu Saif.
The Israeli army continues to deliberately target journalists in Gaza, whether while performing their duties in the field or inside their homes, in blatant violation of international humanitarian law, which mandates the protection of press crews during armed conflicts.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that 101 Palestinians were martyred in Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip since dawn today, including 45 in Gaza City and northern Gaza.
Over the past 48 hours, Israeli occupation forces have intensified their aggressive war and ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip, committing further atrocities and massacres against civilians and displaced persons, particularly in the southern province of Khan Yunis in the besieged territory.
