DayofPal– The Gaza Civil Defense has announced that 75% of its emergency vehicles are now out of service due to a severe fuel shortage, hindering its ability to respond to the escalating Israeli airstrikes and destruction of residential buildings across the Strip.
In a press statement, officials warned that without immediate fuel deliveries, all emergency services could come to a complete halt within 72 hours. The agency cited a lack of heavy rescue equipment, spare parts, and fuel as critical obstacles to maintaining life-saving operations.
They further accused Israeli authorities of continuing to block fuel entry into Gaza, intensifying the ongoing humanitarian crisis and leaving emergency crews unable to carry out their duties.
The statement calls for urgent international intervention to prevent a total collapse of emergency response services in the besieged territory.
Civil Defense also revealed that more than 200 people are missing under the rubble due to last 24 hours attacks and emergency teams are unable to reach them, adding that “Hundreds of families have been erased from the civil registry.
Since dawn today, Israeli forces bombarding of the Gaza enclave has so far killed at least 125 Palestinians, including 36 in the so-called “safe zone” of Al-Mawasi. 361 injured have been reported to the hospitals in the enclave in the past 24 hours.
In a statement on Telegram, the Gaza Health ministry said the data include five bodies of the Palestinians killed in attacks in previous days and recently recovered from under the rubble.
The Ministry also revealed that the death toll from the Israeli genocide has jumped to 53,339 killed and 121,034 injured since October 7, 2023.
