DaysofPal- The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Saturday that two people were killed and 25 others injured over the past 48 hours by Israeli occupation forces (IOF), as casualties continue to mount despite a ceasefire in place.
In a statement, the ministry said that several victims remain trapped under rubble or lying in the streets, with ambulance and civil defense teams being unable to reach them due to ongoing challenges on the ground.
According to the latest figures, since the ceasefire came into effect on October 11, a total of 715 people have been killed and 1,968 injured by Israel’s ongoing attacks.
The ministry also reported that 756 bodies have been recovered during this period.
The cumulative toll since the start of the Israeli genocidal war on October 7, 2023, has risen to 72,291 deaths and 172,068 injuries, the statement added.
The figures highlight the continuing humanitarian impact of the conflict in Gaza, as emergency services struggle to access affected areas and provide aid to those in need.
