DaysofPal- Gaza Ministry of Health reported on Wednesday that 6 more people have died in the past 24 hours due to Israeli-made famine and malnutrition, including children, bringing the total number of deaths from starvation in the Gaza Strip to 367, including 131 children, where all the recent deaths were adult people.
The humanitarian situation in Gaza has reached catastrophic levels, with over one million residents facing severe food insecurity.
Hospitals and health centers are grappling with acute shortages of food, clean water, medicines, and nutritional supplements, particularly for children and pregnant women.
The crisis is exacerbated by the ongoing Israeli blockade, whereas thousands of trucks of food aid remain stranded at border crossings, unable to reach those in need.
Reports indicate that Israeli forces prevent starving civilians from accessing food, targeting them when they attempt to collect aid, and allowing humanitarian supplies to be looted.
The Ministry of Health highlighted the staggering impact on the population: over 300 people have already died from hunger and malnutrition, including 117 children, while hospitals struggle with critical shortages of medicines and therapeutic food.
Vulnerable groups such as widows, orphans, the elderly, and the wounded are the hardest hit, facing extreme risk of death due to a lack of basic necessities.
Humanitarian organizations and the Ministry of Health have called on the international community to immediately open the crossings and deliver aid without restrictions.
Moreover, officials warn that failure to act could result in a massive humanitarian disaster, putting hundreds of thousands of lives at risk.
The Ministry of Health stressed that hunger is not merely a lack of food, but a direct threat to human life. International intervention, they say, is urgently required to save civilians and prevent further loss of life.
