Dozens of colonial settlers invaded Wednesday, 22 September 2022, the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, performing provocative rituals under the Israeli occupation forces’ protection.
Local sources reported that Israeli colonial settlers broke into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa and performed Talmudic provocative rituals in some of its courtyards.
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces permanently backed the colonial settlers’ invasions of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, prohibiting Palestinians’ presence or worshiping freely at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In recent days, the holy sites, most notably Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem have seen increased breakings by Israeli settlers in conjunction with the ‘Hebrew holidays’ celebrations.
Israeli occupation forces imposed many restrictions ahead of the upcoming ‘Hebrew Holidays’ on the 26-27 of this month including restricting the entry of Palestinians to Al-Aqsa Mosque and checking their identities, detaining some of them and deporting dozens of others from the mosque courtyards for varying periods.
Israeli colonial settlers’ violations against the Islamic sites including the Al-Aqsa mosque are permitted despite the signed agreement between Israeli occupation authorities and the Jordanian government in 1967 which prohibited non-Muslim worship at the compound of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
