DaysofPal- Gaza hospitals have reported that nearly 100 Palestinians were killed in new Israeli airstrikes targeting homes and tents of displaced families across the Gaza Strip, despite the ongoing ceasefire between Hamas and Israeli forces.
Medical sources said that 24 children were among the dead, while many others were wounded in the latest bombardments.
The Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis confirmed that 20 people were killed in Israeli attacks on the southern city. Meanwhile, Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported intense air raids on central and northern Rafah, also in southern Gaza.
At the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, five people were killed and several were injured when Israeli forces struck a camp sheltering displaced families.
Israeli media outlets reported loud explosions in areas surrounding Gaza, attributing them to airstrikes carried out by the Israeli army.
Israeli naval and tank shelling also continued along the coast and outskirts of Rafah, while air raids renewed over various parts of Gaza City and Khan Younis, in what Palestinian officials described as another violation of the ceasefire agreement.
The Baptist Hospital in Gaza City received two bodies following an Israeli strike on a house in the Zaytoun neighborhood, while three others, including a young girl, were killed in an airstrike on a home in the Yarmouk area.
Civil Defense teams said they recovered four more bodies from beneath the rubble of a destroyed house belonging to the al-Banna family in al-Sabra, adding that rescue operations were hampered by continued bombardment and Israeli warplanes flying overhead.
Medical sources in Deir al-Balah reported several injuries following another Israeli strike on a camp for displaced people in the area.
Israeli Channel 12 reported that “the attacks on Gaza will likely stop soon, and the ceasefire is expected to resume at 10 a.m. local time.” An Israeli official told Channel i24 News that the current operations in Gaza were “nearing completion.”
On October 9, 2025, Hamas and Israel reached a ceasefire agreement brokered by Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey, under a plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump. The first phase of the deal included a prisoner exchange, a halt to hostilities, and the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
Mediators had hoped the agreement would end what Palestinians describe as Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza, which has so far killed more than 67,000 people, mostly women and children, and left widespread destruction, displacement, and hunger across the enclave.
However, Israel has continued its strikes, killing at least 150 more Palestinians since the deal was announced.
