DaysofPal- The Gaza Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday that 104 Palestinians have been killed and 253 others wounded in the latest Israeli escalation on the Strip since last night.
In a statement, the ministry said that among the dead are 46 children and 20 women, underscoring the heavy toll on civilians, where of the wounded, 78 are children and 84 are women, many suffering critical injuries.
Since the ceasefire was declared on October 11, the ministry reported that a total of 211 people have been killed and 597 injured, while 482 bodies have been recovered from under the rubble in various areas of Gaza.
According to cumulative figures since the start of the Israeli offensive, the total death toll in Gaza has now reached 68,643, with 170,655 people injured.
The ministry also noted that eight bodies were recovered prior to the latest round of escalation.
Health officials continue to warn that the growing number of casualties is overwhelming Gaza’s already devastated health system, which has been crippled by months of bombardment and blockade.
