DaysofPal- Eight Palestinians were killed and numerous others injured, some critically, during a relentless Israeli military raid in Tulkarem that began after midnight on Tuesday. The operation, marked by drone strikes and sniper fire, has devastated the region, leaving destruction in its wake.

In the Tulkarem refugee camp, four young men were killed Monday night when an Israeli drone targeted them, according to local media and medical sources. The victims, identified as resistance fighters Muhaimen al-Akhras, Jum’ah Salem, Amran Haroun, and Qusay Okasha, were struck while engaging with Israeli forces.

Another drone strike in the camp in the afternoon killed two women, Khawla Abdo, 53, and Baraa Ali, 18, and injured three others, including a child. Earlier that day, a similar attack in the nearby Nur Shams refugee camp injured three civilians, with some victims sustaining life-threatening injuries.

Eyewitnesses reported the grim discovery of Mahmoud Mohamed’s body in Nur Shams camp; he had bled to death after being shot by an Israeli sniper. Meanwhile, in the early hours of Tuesday, Fathi Obeid, a teenager, was fatally shot by a sniper in Tulkarem’s al-Hadayda neighborhood.

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) imposed a tight siege on Tulkarem refugee camp at the onset of the operation, deploying snipers on rooftops and targeting any movement. Bulldozers were used to destroy roads, walls, vehicles, and buildings, while the main entrance to the camp was blocked with debris. The destruction disrupted essential infrastructure, including electricity, water, the internet, and telecommunications.

The IOF’s campaign expanded later in the day to include raids on Tulkarem city and Nur Shams camp. Palestinian resistance fighters responded fiercely, detonating explosive devices and firing at Israeli forces and vehicles.

Escalating tensions across the West Bank

The raid in Tulkarem is part of a broader pattern of escalating violence across the West Bank. Israeli forces have conducted numerous operations in various areas, including Nablus, Ramallah, and Hebron, resulting in arrests and injuries.

Palestinian resistance fighters have reportedly carried out attacks on Israeli forces in different parts of the West Bank. In Tamun town, south of Tubas, fighters ambushed Israeli forces, detonating an explosive device that damaged a military vehicle. Al-Quds Brigades of Islamic Jihad said that fighters from its Tubas Brigade were able to ambush Israeli forces near the Tareq Club in Tamun town.

“Our fighters were able to detonate a highly explosive device at a military jeep, damaging it and inflicting injuries on enemy soldiers. Our heroes were also able to clash with soldiers who came to the rescue at close range, inflicting injuries among them,” al-Quds Brigades explained.

A senior Israeli commander was reportedly moderately wounded in an explosive device attack in Tulkarem while traveling in an armored vehicle.

Resistance fighters from the Tulkarem Brigade, an affiliate of al-Quds Brigades, were also able to detonate at 3:27 a.m. today a number of homemade explosive devices at IOF bulldozers in al-Manshiya area in Nur Sham refugee camp.

Along with carrying out extensive raids throughout the West Bank, Israeli occupation forces (IOF) detained some Palestinian residents and seriously damaged infrastructure.

In Tulkarem, two individuals were taken from their homes in Iktaba suburb and Deir al-Ghusun town. In Nablus, four young men, including three from the same family, were detained in al-Jabel ash-Shamali, while another was arrested during a raid in Balata refugee camp, where IOF bulldozed roads and blocked access. Israeli forces also stormed apartment buildings in the western part of Nablus.

Similar actions occurred in al-Khalil, where arrests were made in Beit Kahil and Dura towns, and in Ramallah, where citizens were detained in Birzeit town and al-Am’ari refugee camp near Bireh City. These raids, marked by destruction and arrests, have further heightened tensions and disrupted daily life across the occupied territories.
