Middle East Eye Chief David Hearst said on Monday, October 10, 2022, that apartheid Israeli Occupation is under profound delusion if it thinks Palestinians will just melt away
Hearst’ comments came as Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) have been launching countless military incursions in the occupied West Bank over the last month, killing and detaining dozens of Palestinian teenagers.
Hearst is the editor-in-chief of Middle East Eye News. He was chief foreign leader writer of the Guardians.
In February this year, Amnesty international wrote in a report that Israeli Occupation must be held accountable for committing the crime of apartheid against Palestinians.
The report demonstrated how Israeli Occupation enforces a system of oppression and domination against Palestinians wherever it has control over their rights.
The comprehensive report also sets out how massive seizures of Palestinian land and property, unlawful killings, forcible transfer, drastic movement restrictions, and the denial of nationality and citizenship to Palestinians are all components of a system which amounts to apartheid under international law.
