DayofPal– Charlie Kirk, a prominent American right-wing activist known for his unapologetic support of Israel and inflammatory rhetoric about Palestinians, was shot and killed on Wednesday during a college event in Utah.

Video footage circulated widely on social media shows Kirk addressing an outdoor crowd moments before a loud crack is heard. He then clutches his neck and falls backward off his chair. Emergency responders rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly afterward.

Officials report that the single fatal shot, which struck Kirk in the neck, originated from a building approximately 200 yards away. The precision and execution of the attack indicate a highly professional operation.

FBI Director Kash Patel said the investigation remains ongoing, though authorities believe the attack was targeted. A photo of a pro-Palestine elderly American and former army sniper swept social media believing he was the shooter.

Who is Kirk?

The 31-year-old activist Kirk is the co-founder and CEO of Conservative Turning Point USA.

He is hailed as the rising star of the far-right Zionism in America, and the leading candidate to become the youngest Vice President alongside Vince in the upcoming elections.

He has stirred national controversy for openly calling for the repeal of civil liberties and equality laws, asserting that America is a nation exclusively for white people.

His rhetoric targets non-Christians, especially Muslims, claiming they have no place in the country’s government, media, education system, or even its cultural and artistic spaces.

He had built a reputation across the United States for his confrontational campus debates and vocal allegiance to President Donald Trump.

He was also known for his unwavering support for Israel and its crimes against Palestinians.

Kirk repeatedly defended Israel’s genocide in Gaza and often blamed Palestinians for their own deaths. In one post, he compared Gaza to World War II Japan and blamed Hamas for the casualties.

He wrote: “The deaths of women and children in Gaza are the fault of Hamas, not Israel, just like the deaths in Japan during World War 2 were the fault of Japan, not America.”

Critics said his statements showed contempt for Palestinian civilians and amounted to support for genocide.

Kirk gained notoriety for denying the existence of famine in Gaza, even as international agencies reported widespread food shortages due to the ongoing Israeli blockade, and for dismissing credible reports of Israeli airstrikes killing Palestinian children.

Kirk further stoked outrage when he visited the flashpoint city of Hebron in the occupied West Bank in 2024, raising the Israeli flag at the Ibrahim Mosque, a move many saw as a deliberate provocation during a time of heightened tensions.
