Calls for Immediate Intervention to Stop Israeli Aggression against Palestinian Detainees

T.Sh | DOP -

The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs expressed on Thursday, May 25, 2023, deep concern over the relentless and fierce attacks carried out by the Israeli occupation government against the Palestinian people. These actions reflect the reality of Zionist extremism, which has been accompanying the formation of the right-wing extremist government since its inception, openly advocating revenge against the Palestinian people, their activists, and their families.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the Commission stated that the occupation forces launched a large-scale arrest campaign in the Aqaba Jaber camp near Jericho, detaining dozens of civilians. The detainees were subjected to various forms of torture during their detention.

The Commission called on international institutions and human rights organizations to urgently intervene and put an end to these repeated and brutal attacks inflicted on Palestinians during their detention by the Israeli forces.

The escalating aggression against Palestinian prisoners has sparked widespread concern, with calls for immediate action to ensure their safety and well-being. Human rights organizations called on the international community to address these human rights violations and work towards a just and lasting resolution for the Palestinian people.
