At least 45 Palestinians were injured Sunday during confrontations that broke out with Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at the northern entrance to al-Bireh city, according to the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS).

IOF attacked a rally that took place at the northern entrance to al-Bireh city to mark the 74th anniversary of the 1948 Nakba (Catastrophe), leading to clashes.

PRCS said it dealt with at least 45 injuries, including seven by live ammunition and three by rubber-coated steel bullets, fired by Israeli occupation forces at protesters.

Four people reportedly suffocated due to tear gas inhalation, in addition to a burn injury.

Meanwhile, Thousands of Palestinians marked today the 74th anniversary of the Nakba of 1948, when nearly 700,000 indigenous Palestinians were ethnically cleansed from their homes in historic Palestine by invading Israeli occupation zionist militias.
