DayofPal– Urgent appeals were broadcast live from dozens of citizens trapped inside Abu Tammam School in Beit Lahiya, the only and last refuge for displaced people there, which has been bombed, besieged, then emptied of its residents by the Israeli army since last night.
In one of the most documented scenes of ethnic cleansing of a population in modern history, north Gaza people taking shelter in Abu Tamam school in Beit Lahyia were seen carrying their belongings and heading to unknown destination under Israeli heavy gunfire. Those who tried to flee via Salah Al-Dine street were bombed and attacked by shellfire and quadcopters.
Via loudspeakers attached to quadcopter drones, the Israeli military have ordered displaced people sheltering in the school to immediately leave the premises and the entire town, or they will be killed.
Since last night, Israeli occupation forces have escalated their offensives on Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza. The relentless assaults have struck residential neighborhoods, schools, and hospitals, leaving devastation in their wake. As families, following Israeli order, attempt to flee the area, reports suggest that they are being deliberately targeted whilst they were trying to escape.
Residents also reported that Israeli drones and helicopters have been relentlessly firing at homes. Booby-trapped robots loaded with explosives have been planted in neighborhoods, causing widespread destruction and killing dozens of besieged civilians.
The fleeing families described what they endured as similar to horrors of the doomsday with the head of MSF team in Gaza said north Gaza has become a ghost city, adding that displaced people in Gaza City live in partially collapsed buildings and seek for shelter, food, and water at a time Gaza is drowning in cold, hunger, and bombs.
At Kamal Adwan Hospital, the situation is dire. The hospital and its surrounding area have been attacked multiple times. Israeli quadcopters also fired teargas canisters, live ammunition and sound bombs into the yard and building of the hospital as well.
There are dozens of bodies still trapped under the rubble and on the roads with pools of blood covering the streets due to the relentless assaults, and with no access to emergency services or civil defense, eyewitnesses reported this morning.
Local sources said that Israel forces have arrested a number of men and youths while fleeing the city under Israeli threats and attacks.
