Al Jazeera’s Tip of Iceberg Unveils Details About Sinwar, Deif
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

DayofPal– In a groundbreaking episode of “The Tip of the Iceberg” aired by Al Jazeera on Friday night, journalist Tamer Al-Mishal revealed unprecedented details about the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation carried out by the Qassam Brigades on October 7, 2023.

The investigation showcased exclusive footage released by the Qassam Brigades for the first time, documenting the meticulous planning phases of the operation and its aftermath—ranging from high-level military leadership meetings to the moment of execution.

Among the rare scenes was a full view of Mohammed Deif, the Qassam Brigades’ commander-in-chief, standing inside the military operations room, personally finalizing the attack strategy.

The episode also included exclusive footage of Mohammed Deif pinpointing military targets for the October 7 attack. Additionally, the Qassam Brigades revealed highly detailed surveillance operations along the Gaza border conducted prior to the operation.

The program also unveiled exclusive footage of Yahya Sinwar, the leader of the Hamas movement and the architect of Al-Aqsa Flood Operation, prior to his death. The clips showed Sinwar actively leading operations against invading Israeli forces in Rafah and other areas.

Sinwar was seen moving across different regions, coordinating ambushes, and boosting the morale of Qassam fighters as they faced Israeli aggression. The footage also depicted him seated alongside Mahmoud Hamdan, the commander of the Tel Sultan Battalion in Rafah, planning missions.

Sinwar and Hamdan were both later fought and killed in Battlefield in Rafah.

Another scene captured Sinwar at the frontlines, observing his fighters targeting and bombing an Israeli vehicle in Tel Sultan, Rafah.

The program aired more exclusive footage of the Qassam Brigades monitoring Asaf Hamami, a senior Israeli officer and the commander of the southern brigade in Gaza, who is currently held as a captive by the brigades.

In another highlight, the program featured an exclusive interview with Ezzedine Al-Haddad, a member of the Qassam Brigades’ General Military Council and the commander of the Gaza Brigade.

Through these revelations, “The Tip of the Iceberg” offered an in-depth look into the behind-the-scenes efforts and leadership of the Qassam Brigades during one of the most significant military operations in recent history.
