He pointed out that Bensouda will now investigate the crimes, even those that occurred earlier," and said that The investigation will continue for a year and a half.
On Friday, the Pre-Trial Chamber (based in The Hague) issued a decision establishing its jurisdiction over the occupied Palestinian territories (the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem), which paves the way for an investigation into war crimes resulting from Israeli military actions.
