DaysofPal— Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem said on Friday that his Movement places the demands of the Palestinian people at the forefront of its political and diplomatic efforts, emphasizing urgent humanitarian relief, an end to the ongoing Israeli war, and the start of reconstruction.
Qassem stressed that these priorities serve as the guiding framework for Hamas’s negotiating positions and political conduct.
“Our people’s demands, foremost among them accelerating genuine relief efforts, ending the war they are subjected to, and initiating reconstruction, are the compass guiding our diplomatic and political engagement,” he said.
Qassem affirmed that Hamas will continue to work alongside the sincere national forces in defense of Palestinian demands.
He also revealed that consultations are ongoing with mediators to reach an understanding that would ensure the full implementation of a ceasefire agreement.
Qassem added that a delegation representing Hamas and other Palestinian factions is expected to visit Cairo in the coming days to deliver a response regarding new proposals.
The spokesperson added that discussions are continuing with regional mediators, including Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, to finalize mechanisms for implementing all phases of the ceasefire agreement, covering the remaining aspects of the first phase and arrangements for the second phase.
The developments come amid continued diplomatic efforts to stabilize the situation and address humanitarian needs in the Gaza Strip that resulted from the ongoing Israeli genocidal war.
