DaysofPal — Senior Hamas political bureau member Dr. Basem Naim said on Friday that the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip have demonstrated a high level of national awareness and political maturity, rejecting attempts to draw them into suspicious agendas.
Naim praised the resilience and discernment of the Palestinian population, noting that despite nearly two years of ongoing Israeli genocidal war and humanitarian suffering, people in Gaza remain capable of distinguishing “truth from falsehood” and maintaining focus on the central enemy.
“Our great people have proven that their national belonging and political consciousness are far deeper than the attempts of some reckless actors to manipulate them,” Naim said.
His remarks came amid warnings issued by various factions and tribal leaders in Gaza regarding calls for public mobilization aimed at spreading chaos within the territory.
Such efforts, he noted, are being supported by militias collaborating with Israeli occupation, as well as by Israeli media platforms.
Reports also referenced a recent video message by Israeli Agriculture Minister Avi Dichter, in which he addressed Gaza residents directly and called for opposition to what he described as Hamas rule, in an apparent attempt to incite unrest.
