DaysofPal- Groups of Israeli settlers set fire to Palestinians’ agricultural lands in the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, amid escalating tensions in the area.
Local sources reported that the fires broke out in farmlands located in the eastern plain of the village.
As residents attempted to extinguish the flames, Israeli occupation forces stormed the area and fired large numbers of illumination flares and tear gas canisters directly toward Palestinian homes.
The heavy use of tear gas caused panic among residents and heightened tensions on the ground, as families were affected by the gas fired into residential areas.
Sources added that the attack coincided with the arrival of settlers in the area, prompting villagers to mobilize quickly in an effort to defend their lands and homes from the joint assaults by Israeli forces and settlers.
According to local and international organizations, incidents of settlers’ violence and attacks against Palestinians and their property in the West Bank and Jerusalem have been increasing, often under the protection of the Israeli army and with support from ministers in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government.
