DaysofPal- Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) killed at least 20 Palestinians and injured dozens more early Wednesday as Israeli forces carried out continued attacks on several areas of the Gaza Strip, in the ongoing Israeli crimes amid violations of the ceasefire agreement.
Medical sources reported that the fatalities resulted from Israeli shelling targeting the cities of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip and Gaza City.
Three victims were transferred to Nasser Hospital after Israeli artillery struck tents and homes belonging to civilians in the Qizan Abu Rashwan area, south of Khan Younis.
In Gaza City, 11 bodies, including those of a teenage boy and a young girl, arrived at Al-Shifa Hospital, along with several wounded civilians, some in critical condition.
The casualties were caused by intense Israeli artillery fire that hit tents and residential homes along Yaffa Street, Al-Sikka Street, and Al-Hajar Street in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of the city.
Local sources said Israeli artillery directly struck a residential building belonging to the Haboush family on Al-Hajar Street in Al-Tuffah, northeast of Gaza City, killing four family members: Rital Mahmoud Haboush (13), Yousef Mohammad Haboush (40), Ahmed Talat Haboush (22), and Bilal Ashraf Haboush (16).
Three additional victims, two elderly people and a five-month-old infant, were pronounced dead after Israeli shelling hit the Street 10 area in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.
Their bodies were also transferred to Al-Shifa Hospital.
Separately, local sources reported that the wife of Dr. Ahmed Al-Rubaie, head of the Pulmonary Diseases Department at Al-Shifa Hospital, was shot and killed by Israeli forces late Tuesday night near the Al-Shawa area in Al-Tuffah, east of Gaza City.
Israeli artillery also targeted the northeastern areas of Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, while Israeli drones opened fire on civilian homes in the Al-Sahaba area of Al-Daraj neighborhood in central Gaza City.
A fire broke out in one of the homes on Al-Sikka Street in Al-Tuffah following artillery shelling, coinciding with live fire from drones.
Since the ceasefire agreement came into effect on October 10, 2025, Israeli forces have committed hundreds of violations through shelling and live fire, resulting in the killing and injury of hundreds of Palestinian civilians. Gaza’s Ministry of Health stated that “several victims remain trapped under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them.”
The ministry added that the death toll from Israeli ceasefire violations since October 10 has risen to 529 killed and 1,462 injured.
These violations continue despite the U.S. administration’s announcement in mid-January of the start of the second phase of the ceasefire agreement.
According to official Palestinian figures, the total death toll from the Israeli ongoing genocidal war on Gaza has now reached 71,803 killed and 171,570 wounded.
