DaysofPal- The Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture said Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) and settlers uprooted and bulldozed 884 olive trees and stole 360 livestock animals during a series of attacks across the occupied West Bank over the past week.
In its weekly report covering January 22 to 29, the ministry documented a surge in violations targeting Palestinian agriculture, describing an escalation in assaults by Israeli forces and settlers that has disrupted farming activities and threatened food security.
The ministry said the attacks were carried out under Israeli security protection and are part of a broader policy aimed at expanding settlements, establishing new outposts, and pressuring Palestinian farmers to abandon their land in several areas.
According to the report, settler violence has evolved into an organized pattern reflecting a policy of forced displacement in violation of international law. The ministry estimated direct financial losses from the documented incidents at around $754,000.
The violations included the burning of tents, destruction of crops and water pipelines, assaults and threats against farmers, and the demolition of retaining walls. The report said 884 olive trees of varying ages were destroyed, along with the theft of 360 heads of livestock.
The Ministry of Agriculture called on the international community to urgently intervene to stop settler and military attacks, ensure protection for Palestinian farmers, and activate international accountability mechanisms against those responsible.
