DaysofPal – An Israeli military bulldozer is accused of deliberately killing a wounded Palestinian child after he had already been shot and denied medical assistance, according to a new rights-monitoring report.
The incident, described as a premeditated act of extreme violence, is being cited as further evidence of a systematic pattern of Israeli forces targeting Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip as part of the broader two-year campaign that has devastated the population.
Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor said in a press release on 11 December 2025 that its field team documented the killing of 16-year-old Zaher Nasser Shamia, a resident of Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.
The boy was reportedly shot on Wednesday, 10 December, near the Jabalia Services Club, where heavy gunfire prevented anyone from reaching him to provide medical aid.
According to eyewitness accounts collected by Euro-Med Monitor, the teenager lay injured on the ground for several minutes before an Israeli military bulldozer moved into the area. The organization states that the bulldozer advanced toward the immobile boy and fatally crushed him while continuing earthworks in the vicinity.
The press release emphasizes that the incident is not an isolated one. Euro-Med Monitor places it within a longstanding pattern of similar acts over the past two years, including cases in which Israeli armored vehicles reportedly ran over civilians, displaced families, or desecrated graveyards in multiple Gaza neighborhoods.
One such case involved the killing of 62-year-old Jamal Hamdi Hassan Ashour in February 2024, who the group says was detained and then run over.
Euro-Med Monitor notes that such practices reflect a policy that systematically dehumanizes Palestinians and inflicts physical and psychological terror on the civilian population. The organisation says these actions contribute to what it terms an ongoing genocide in Gaza, and urged international bodies, including the International Criminal Court, to prioritize investigations into these and other violations of international humanitarian law.
The group also noted that despite the ceasefire agreement declared in October 2025, civilians continue to face lethal danger from direct fire, bombardment, and restrictions on humanitarian access.
