DaysofPal- The Guardian has revealed shocking details surrounding the return of at least 135 mutilated bodies of Palestinians from the Israeli occupation to the Gaza Strip.
The report states that the bodies had been held in a notorious detention facility, long used to torture and abuse Palestinian detainees.
According to documents found inside each body bag, all the corpses had been transferred from the Sde Teiman military base in the Negev desert.
The base, the report notes, is where Palestinian detainees were kept in cages, blindfolded, handcuffed, and tied to hospital beds, often forced to wear diapers.
Photographs reviewed by The Guardian showed several of the bodies blindfolded, with hands bound behind their backs, while one image depicted a rope tied around a man’s neck.
Official examinations and field observations, the report adds, “clearly indicate that Israel carried out executions, field killings, and systematic torture against many Palestinians.”
The newspaper also revealed that the bodies carried no names, only coded symbols, and that families in Gaza have begun the painful process of identifying their loved ones.
The revelations have sparked outrage among human rights groups, who are demanding an independent international investigation into the “evidence of war crimes and inhumane treatment of detainees.”
