DaysofPal – The United States has sent Israel nearly $4.2 billion in weapons since the beginning of the war on Gaza, according to a new report from the Center for International Policy, a Washington-based think tank.
Covering the period between October 7, 2023, and May 2025, the report offers what it calls a “partial snapshot” of U.S. military support to Israel. It notes that the total does not include authorized transfers that have yet to be delivered, meaning the actual figure could be significantly higher.
The Center for International Policy said the U.S. has paid for “much of the munitions and small arms used to commit war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip,” highlighting concerns about American complicity in the destruction of civilian infrastructure and mass casualties in the besieged enclave.
Despite Israel’s near-total blockade of humanitarian aid to Gaza and a growing famine, the report finds that arms deliveries have not slowed. In fact, May 2025 marked the second-largest monthly volume of U.S. arms transfers to Israel since the war began.
The findings come amid intensifying international scrutiny of Washington’s role in arming Israel during what multiple human rights organizations have described as a campaign of collective punishment against Gaza’s civilian population.
As famine deepens and infrastructure collapses in Gaza, calls for an arms embargo and accountability for U.S. weapons exports have grown louder — both within and outside the United States.
