Hamas ramps up resistance operations, breaking Netanyahu’s ‘false victory’ narrative

Hamas says it remains defiant after Sinwar killing

DaysofPal – The Hamas Movement has declared that its fighters are waging a sustained war of attrition against Israeli forces in response to a campaign of genocide against Palestinian civilians in Gaza. The group said its tactics are evolving daily and continue to inflict damage on the Israeli military.

Hamas said in a press release on Sunday that Israel’s increasing military aggression is putting its captives in Gaza in danger and further deteriorating its strategic failure.

The Movement emphasized that the only viable path forward is a comprehensive deal, one that it says Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continues to reject.

“The absolute victory Netanyahu talks about is nothing but an illusion meant to mislead his public,” the statement read. “The war he wanted to be endless has turned into a daily burden and will end with his political and personal downfall after the collapse of the illusion of a quick victory.”

Earlier, on Saturday, the Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s armed wing, announced that they had killed and injured six Israeli soldiers by detonating a pre-rigged tunnel entrance targeting a foot patrol in Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.

This operation, Hamas said, is part of a broader campaign of ambushes and bombings aimed at Israeli forces in retaliation for Israel’s ongoing war on Gaza, which began on October 7, 2023.

Contrary to the publicly declared figures, the Israeli army is accused of concealing the true number of its casualties, especially by ignoring numerous announcements from Palestinian factions claiming to have carried out operations and ambushes against its forces, which they assert result in dead and wounded.

International observers and journalists have long noted that Israel enforces strict military censorship on casualty figures, citing national security and the need to preserve domestic morale. As a result, independent verification of such battlefield claims remains limited.

Hamas reiterated that its fighters remain determined to resist the existential war backed by the United States. “We continue to surprise the enemy daily with renewed field tactics,” the statement said, asserting that the resistance remains unified and committed despite overwhelming force.

According to Gaza health officials, nearly 54,880 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed in the Israeli aggression.

During its bloody aggression, Israel has targeted Gaza’s civilian infrastructure, including hospitals and schools, in blatant violation of international law. Military experts say the Israeli regime has failed to achieve any of its stated goals in the war.

Last November, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for the Israeli regime’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and his former war minister, Yoav Gallant, for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for its war crimes against civilians in the enclave.
