DaysofPal- The Israeli military operation in the northern Gaza Strip continues to intensify, with on-the-ground crimes targeting residential buildings and essential infrastructure. Civilian facilities, including roads, hospitals, and water systems, are being affected, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region.

Kamal Adwan Hospital, in particular, has faced repeated Israeli attacks, significantly hindering its ability to provide necessary medical services.

These strikes have placed immense pressure on both the hospital staff and the patients, further compounding the already dire humanitarian situation in the region.

Kamal Adwan Hospital has been stormed multiple times by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF). As a vital medical center serving two-thirds of northern Gaza’s population, its departments provide critical healthcare services under increasingly challenging conditions. Despite its essential role, the hospital has suffered significant damage due to Israeli bombing, severely impacting its ability to deliver lifesaving treatment.

The damage to Kamal Adwan Hospital extends beyond its buildings; the ongoing Israeli military aggression has profoundly impacted the hospital’s medical teams. Healthcare workers face immense challenges, including physical danger, overwhelming workloads, and the emotional toll of operating under such dire conditions. This has further strained the hospital’s ability to provide essential medical care to the population it serves.

This morning, IOF targeted the head of the intensive care unit at Kamal Adwan Hospital, killing him instantly. His colleagues, in a harrowing moment, brought his body back to the hospital before laying him to rest.

This tragic loss underscores the severe risks faced by medical professionals in Gaza, as even those dedicated to saving lives are not spared from the violence.

The grim reality is that these doctors are risking their lives daily to continue providing medical treatment. Despite the constant danger, they remain steadfast in their commitment to care for the injured and save lives, often working under unimaginable conditions and facing the ever-present threat of violence.

The repeated and systematic targeting of medical teams in northern Gaza has dire consequences, effectively depriving civilians of even the most basic level of care.

This is compounded by chronic shortages of essential medical supplies and the ongoing blockade preventing their delivery to the region. These conditions have created a critical humanitarian crisis, leaving thousands without access to lifesaving treatment.

The ongoing and repeated attacks have drawn sharp international criticism from medical organizations, including the World Health Organization (WHO).

The WHO has emphasized the urgent need for a complete cessation of hostilities and the establishment of “humanitarian corridors” to address the dire humanitarian and medical crisis in northern Gaza. Without immediate action, the already collapsed healthcare system faces an even graver catastrophe, putting countless lives at further risk.

IOF have killed over 2,700 civilians and wounded more than 10,000 others, the majority of whom are women and children, during the ongoing Israeli aggression on northern Gaza, which has lasted for 57 days so far.
