The Turkish government on Saturday strongly condemned a recent social media post by Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz, accusing him of spreading lies and slander against Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Turkey, according to Anadolu Agency.
In an official statement, Turkish officials dismissed Katz’s credibility, claiming even members of the Netanyahu administration see him as lacking influence. They also referenced Israel’s history of crimes against humanity, which they say have left a lasting stain on its legacy.
The statement accused Katz of using social media provocations to remain relevant and secure his position within what Turkey referred to as a “genocide network.”
Despite these accusations, Turkey reaffirmed its steadfast support for the Palestinian cause and its commitment to speaking out against injustices. The government vowed to continue defending the rights of Palestinians in the face of such baseless attacks.
