A least seven Palestinians were killed and dozens others were wounded, according local media, after Israeli fighter jets bombed makeshift tents in the Rafah’s al-Mawasi area, previously designated by the military as a “humanitarian zone”.
The tents, where the massacre located north-west of Rafah, were set ablaze following the strikes that took place after midnight on Wednesday.
This is not first-of-its-kind massacre that occured in safe zones. Israeli forces also bombed tents near Khan Younis in southern Gaza, killing people including children, and homes in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the middle area.
Another strike on a home in Gaza City killed six people, including women and children, early morning.
Several civilians, including a child, were killed last night following an Israeli airstrike on the Abu Safiya family’s home in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of Gaza City.
The strikes come as the US confirms it has continued to send weapons to ‘Israel’, save for the one shipment of 2,000-pound bombs it is currently reviewing.
According to an AP report, Israel’s genocide in Gaza has killed hundreds of family members from the same bloodline, an unprecedented toll on the small community mostly made up of refugees and their descendants.
