DaysofPal- The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Wednesday that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli genocidal war has risen to 72,991, with a total of 173,212 people injured since October 7, 2023.
In its daily statistical report, the ministry said that three fatalities and five injuries were recorded in Gaza hospitals over the past 24 hours as a result of continued Israeli crimes.
Among the reported deaths, one body was recovered from beneath the rubble, while two individuals died from wounds sustained in earlier incidents.
The ministry noted that a number of victims remain trapped under debris or lying in the streets, as emergency and civil defense teams are unable to reach them due to ongoing hostilities and difficult conditions on the ground.
According to the report, since the ceasefire that came into effect on October 11, a total of 981 people have been killed and 3,104 injured. Additionally, 783 bodies have been recovered during this period.
The ministry warned that the figures are likely to rise as rescue efforts continue and access to affected areas remains limited.
