Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, asserted that ‘Israel’ is disintegrating as a consequence of its military actions in the Gaza enclave, on Monday June 3rd, 2024.
Addressing a ceremony commemorating the 35th anniversary of the death of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, Khamenei declared, “Today, the Zionist regime gradually melts down before the eyes of the world’s people.”
During his nearly 55-minute discourse, Khamenei contended that Israel’s reaction to the Hamas-led attack on October 7, which ignited the ongoing conflict, has placed it in an inescapable dilemma, describing it as a “dead-end corridor”.
He further argued that the war has disrupted Israel’s efforts, backed by the United States, to normalize relations in the region, which he described as an Israeli strategy to assert regional dominance.
As the Israeli army has stuck in Gaza and being accused of immense failure, resignations of high-profile officials and soldiers have been rocking the Israeli army due to the ongoing war, including Richard Heshit, the Israeli army’s spokesperson for foreign media affairs, and Aharon Haliva, the Head of Israeli military intelligence.
A recent American intelligence report showed that ‘Israel’ has suffered a self-inflicted defeat seven months after its aggression on the Gaza enclave, revealing that 65% of Gaza’s tunnels remain intact and Hamas has only lost 30-35% of its fighters. This raises concerns in Washington about the movement’s ability to sustain itself and recruit new fighters.
In addition, ‘Israel’ has faced a strategic failure due to its systematic starvation policy against Gaza civilians, precisely in the north of Gaza, which helps Hamas maintain its popularity.
