Colonial Israeli settlers set fire Sunday night to the lands of Duma village, located south of Nablus, according to a local official.
Suleiman Dawabsha, the head of the Duma Village Council, reported that settlers, under the protection of Israeli forces, ignited fires on the southern outskirts of the village. The blaze has been ravaging olive groves and crops, with efforts to contain it severely hampered by the Israeli army, which has obstructed access to the affected areas.
Dawabsha emphasized there is anticipated extensive damage and losses, noting that civil defense teams have been thwarted in their attempts to reach and extinguish the flames due to the interference from both the Israeli occupation forces and settlers.
This evening, extremist Israeli settlers also attacked with stones vehicles belonging to Palestinian citizens near the Rawabi roundabout north of Ramallah, resulting in damage to one car.
Similar attacks were reported south of Nablus, where settlers targeted Palestinian-registered vehicles with stones at the Awarta military checkpoint.
Anti-colonial activist Youssef Diriye confirmed the assaults, noting a marked increase in settler violence and provocations since the onset of the comprehensive Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people on October 7, 2023.
